The Way to Santiago is the oldest and most important way in our continent. All throughout History, the Way has united and structured Europe, and it keeps on doing it in the current European Union. A way with a clear destination, whose name identifies also the pilgrimage: Santiago de Compostela.
But, where should the pilgrim start walking? If we took the Galician town as a starting point, we could unwalk many of the ways to Santiago without finding a clear ending. The beginning of the way has not been stated, the way starts with the first step to Compostela, wherever it is taken. And our European odyssey begins just where Europe ends. In Nordkapp.
